I often travel to Japan for work. This is one of the advantages of being a Product Designer.
Here I share some of the photos with you:
me in front of Takashimaya, one of the largest shopping mall in Japan
outside Shibuya. this is where the famous dog Hachiko statue can be found.
The story of the statue goes something like this:
In 1924 Tokyo, a professor took a dog he named Hachiko as a pet. the dog would always greet him as he got back from work at the end of the day at the nearby Shibuya station. The owner and his pet would continue this routine until 1925, that was whne the professor did not return (suffere cerebral hemorhage and died). Even though the professor never did return to the train station, Hachiko would wait for his owner, this continues for 9 years....
The loyalty of the dog touch many people and you guys can check it out. Google it!
There was also a movie made of the dog. the professor was played by Richard Gere.
I have seen the movie and it was OK. I recomend for those who like drama type of film.
till then laters!
